Veronica Swift
Veronica Swift is one of the most striking voices of her generation, renowned for her virtuosity, interpretive depth, and artistic boldness. She first gained international recognition after placing second at the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Competition in 2015. Her albums Confessions (2019) and This Bitter Earth (2021) already showcased a fully formed artist, combining technical mastery, emotional depth, and inventive arrangements.
With her self-titled third album, Veronica Swift asserts a distinctly “transgenre” musical identity, blending jazz with opera, classical music, rock, bossa nova, and blues, while maintaining a strong and cohesive artistic voice.
Born into a musical family, jazz singer Stephanie Nakasian and pianist Hod O’Brien, she was immersed in jazz tradition from an early age, while embracing a broader creative freedom shaped by diverse influences.
On stage and in the studio, she stands out for her infectious energy, remarkable command of scat singing, and rare ability to move seamlessly across genres. Constantly exploring new sonic territories, Veronica Swift represents a generation of artists for whom musical boundaries no longer exist, turning each project into a powerful statement of artistic independence.
