Oxmo Puccino

Rap

Oxmo Puccino, the poet of French rap, has been transforming words into living matter for nearly thirty years. Born in Mali and raised in Paris, he made his mark in the late 1990s with a singular voice, blending urban realism with literary elegance.

From Opéra Puccino to L’Arme de Paix, including Lipopette Bar, he has built a body of work where rhyme becomes narrative and the streets turn into allegory. Winner of two Victoires de la Musique awards, Oxmo transcends genres, collaborating both with rappers (Booba, Josman, MC Solaar…) and with jazz or chanson musicians (-M-, Erik Truffaz…).

A modern and generous storyteller, he explores human emotions with precision, carving a path where poetry serves as a compass for those seeking meaning amidst life’s turbulence. After a sold-out show at the Adidas Arena, he is currently touring across France in support of his latest album, La Hauteur de la Lune, released in October 2025.
