Liengme

Record producer and musician Mathias Liengme co-founded the Geneva-based label Fruits Records in 2015, specializing in Jamaican music. Over the past decade, he has contributed to the production of more than a hundred records, collaborating in particular with some of the most influential figures in the history of Jamaican reggae.

He is currently focused on developing projects such as Roots Architects, The 18th Parallel, and Cosmic Shuffling. A specialist in the development of this musical genre in Switzerland, he is regularly invited to give lectures on the subject.

Alongside his musical activities, Mathias works as an ethnomusicologist and notably contributed to the development of the exhibition Afrosonica – Soundscapes, presented at the Museum of Ethnography in Geneva in 2025.
