Chien Bleu

Rap

Emerging from Geneva’s sharp punk scene and the band Sergent Papou, of which he was the lead singer for over 10 years, Chien Bleu launched a rap project in 2018 that quickly established itself within French-speaking Switzerland’s music landscape.

Driven by the need to portray his everyday life without compromise, he experiments with new sounds and channels his personal experiences with rare authenticity. The result is a series of genre-blending projects, including two 12-tracks EPs: Papillon (2019) and Jours Sauvages (2023). Raw lyrics, distinctive compositions, and explosive live band performances : although the artist is moving toward more accessible sounds, he has lost none of his underground spirit.

2024 marks a turning point for Chien Bleu with the release of his debut album On Va Jamais Mourir. Becoming a father in a world destined to collapse, carrying the legacy of his grandmother who immigrated from communist Czechoslovakia, revisiting the darker parts of his childhood that shaped the man he has become; these are themes he tackles head-on. “I used to write about what I saw through the window before seeing my own reflection in the double glazing,” he confides in the track titled Solo.
